Educational Conferences

The UC San Diego Division of Cardiovascular Medicine provides a multitude of CME-based conferences.  Attendance is standard throughout the division for the weekly Cardiac Catheterization Conference and Cardiology Grand Rounds.

Conferences more specific to the interventional cardiology training program, but open to all, include the weekly Core Curriculum Interventional Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Case Review. Furthermore, multi-disciplinary TAVR, peripheral arterial, and adult congenital heart disease conferences are scheduled on a weekly basis and part of the training program.

Contemporary therapies for advanced cardiovascular disease are dependent on distinct heart teams and the conference diversity at UC San Diego allows for trainees to be exposed to cutting-edge technologies and techniques throughout the fellowship program.
