Academic Profile
Dr. Antoinette Birs attended the University of Central Florida School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Washington. She then completed her general cardiology fellowship and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship at the University of California San Diego.
She joins the faculty as Assistant Professor with a clinical focus in advanced cardiomyopathy and transplant and research focus in cardiometabolic health and cardiac allograft vasculopathy in transplant recipients.
Dr. Janet Ma attended the University of Michigan School of Medicine and completed her residency at UC San Diego, where she also served as a chief resident. She then completed a general cardiology fellowship and Advanced Echocardiography fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
She joins the faculty as Assistant Professor with a clinical focus in echocardiography and women's heart health.
Dr. Diana Otero received her medical degree from Universidad de San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru and completed residency at the Mount Sinai Bronx Program. She did her general cardiology fellowship at the University of Louisville and completed both, interventional cardiology and structural heart and valve fellowship, at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
She joins the faculty as Assistant Professor with a clinical focus in minimally invasive treatment options for heart disease and research focus in patient-centered shared decision making and disparities in structural heart interventions.
