  Clinical Programs

Our team of cardiologists, proceduralists, researchers, and medical professionals is dedicated to advancing cardiovascular medicine at the vanguard of research and education, as well as providing exceptional care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Our fellowships involve complex clinical care, research, and training with world-renown faculty.

In this section, you will find an overview of the programs in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine:

  • Interventional Cardiology

    Interventional Cardiology

The Interventional Cardiology Program is setting standards in minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases.

As the first institution on the West Coast to bring robotically assisted interventions into the catheterization lab, we employ a range of new catheter-based techniques, including complex coronary, structural, lower extremity, and carotid interventions.

  • Advanced Heart Failure

    Advanced Heart Failure

The Advanced Heart Failure Program is a quaternary referral center, dedicated to providing the highest level of care to patients with refractory (advanced) heart failure.

Our expert multidisciplinary team advances the state-of-the-art in Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS), heart, and multi-organ transplantation.

  • Electrophysiology

The Electrophysiology Program is a tertiary referral center stewarded by widely published physicians who are dedicated to researching, diagnosing, and treating heart rhythm disorders using the latest treatments and technologies for mapping, catheter ablation, external beam radio-therapy ablation, and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs).

We perform one of the largest volumes of device implantations, ablations and laser lead extractions in the nation.

  • Preventive Cardiology

    Preventive Cardiology

The Preventive Cardiology Program develops and implements evidence-based treatments and techniques for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, as well as cardiac rehabilitation and the management of conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and congestive heart failure.

Our extensive research and clinical trials focus on assessing the impact of behavioral, technological, and pharmacological interventions on cardiometabolic health.

  • Advanced Cardiac Imaging

    Advanced Cardiac Imaging

The Advanced Cardiac Imaging Program draws from cardiology, radiology, cardiothoracic surgery, biomedical engineering, neurology, and other disciplines to research and provide state-of-the-art imaging services to diagnose and monitor cardiovascular conditions.

Our experts are at the forefront of advanced imaging technologies including MRI, CT, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.

  • Adult Congenital Heart Disease

    Adult Congenital Heart Disease

The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program employs a multidisciplinary approach to providing expert lifelong care to patients with congenital heart conditions.

It is the only comprehensive care center in the region accredited by the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA).
