    Favorite aspects of the program: I stayed at UCSD for advanced heart failure fellowship because the volume of our transplant program offers incredible hands on experience that you cannot get at most other programs and for the opportunity to continue to work with our outstanding multidisciplinary team. The flexibility of our program has allowed me to explore multiple basic science and translational research projects while continuing my clinical training.

    Career interests: I hope to continue my career at a large academic heart transplant center where I can continue to treat patients with genetic cardiomyopathies and work on basic and translational approaches to correct their underlying genetic defects
    Research interests: Genetic cardiomyopathies and targeted gene therapies, inflammatory cardiomyopathies, cardiovascular sequelae of COVID-19
