Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship
The heart failure and cardiac transplant fellowship is based around our high-volume, high-quality practice in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplant and mechanical circulatory support. Fellows will be exposed to a broad range of therapeutics for heart failure including medical therapy, ventricular assist devices, total artificial hearts, heart transplants, as well as multi-organ transplant (heart/lung, heart/kidney, etc.). Upon completion of the year, fellows will be eligible for the Advanced Heart Failure Board Examination. Clinical and translational research may be performed in many avenues with multiple different investigators. Opportunities for research include participation in numerous Phase 1-3 clinical trials, as well as preclinical and stem cell research. Faculty include Barry Greenberg, MD, Denise Barnard, MD, Jorge Silva Enciso, MD, Howie Tran, MD, and Eric Adler, MD.
