Grand Rounds Goals:

To promote the science and art of medicine and the betterment of the public health through science medical education

Grand Rounds Objectives:

Ø To develop and conduct Health Science education for physicians, pharmacists and allied health professionals.

Ø To offer Health Science education programs in formats and venues conducive to learning.

Ø To provide Health Science education in basic sciences and clinical science arenas.

Ø To promote informed clinical decisions.

Ø To enable physicians to remain informed in multiple areas of medicine including development in fields other than their own.

Ø To improve health locally, regionally and internationally by elevating the quality of medicine care and disease prevention

provided and research conducted by informed health practitioners.

Ø To foster responsible and balanced debate on conventional and controversial issues affection Health Science.

Ø To Forecast and discuss important issues and trends in Health Science.

Ø To inform health care providers about non-clinical aspects of Health Science including political, philosophical, ethical, legal environmental, economic and cultural matters.

Ø To recognize that in addition to these specific objectives the University has a social responsibility to improve the total human condition and to promote research interest in and awareness of basic and clinical science research.
